“The National Development Bank has an irreplaceable role in the transformation of the Czech economy. I am happy to be part of it and to contribute with my experience to strengthening the role of the NRB,” says Pavel Marek, a new member of the Board of Directors, who comes to the NRB with a wide experience in finance, gained e.g. during many years spent at Česká spořitelna and Erste Group.
Pavel Marek has worked in various positions where he specialized in the areas of controlling, accounting, tax, capital management and investor relations. In addition to his work in the corporate environment, he has also gained valuable experience in financial management of start-ups. He has also broadened his horizons by working abroad, spending part of his career at Erste Group Holding in Vienna. He studied at the University of Economics in Prague and the IESE Business School.
Pavel Marek has joined the three-member Board of Directors of the NRB, headed by Mr. Tomáš Nidetzký since May 2023, with Mr. Pavel Křivonožka as another Board member, responsible for Section of Business.
“Pavel Marek brings to the NRB valuable experience and know-how that can greatly help our growth strategy. We agree that the Czech Republic deserves a strong promotional bank and NRB has great potential to become a reliable partner in the implementation of national economic policy, which is something we will continue to strive for in the Board of Directors and the whole NRB,” concludes Mr. Tomáš Nidetzký, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
